DAY 26 - Poetry Out Loud

Recitations began today. We got through most of them--hurrah! I will be asking each section's winners to meet with me one-on-one before the full sophomore class meeting to talk about the individual poems and dramatic interpretation.

No homework for tonight.

IN LIGHT OF NORTH KOREA'S MISSILE/NUCLEAR TESTS THIS WEEK

If you haven't been following the news this week, North Korea tested two missiles and claims to have conducted another nuclear test (likely true). They're also saber-rattling in another way, claiming that South Korea's recent decision to join US efforts to stop the spread of weapons of mass destruction are tantamount to a declaration of war, and that North Korea is no longer governed by the armistice signed at the end of the Korean conflict. Clearly, "The Great Leader" wants the spotlight, but what are we to do? This article is FYI. Look for bias in the article. It'll be a good refresher on the argument unit.
